Don’t take our word for it.

“My son has struggled with a number of medical conditions since birth that have made it difficult for him to track through his day to day.  He is a bright student but his conditions frequently interrupt his schooling. He is a kind-hearted, social person but his chronic pain makes it difficult for him to join friends in activities, travel, or keep up with regular sports activities.  This of course takes an emotional toll on him and we have particularly struggled to see him battle with anxiety and self-defeating thoughts…(expand)

Stride understood my son’s and our family’s concerns and struggles immediately. They provided attentive support to us as parents and helped implement a system designed to increase my son’s sense of independence, self-esteem, resilience, and motivation.  We are so thankful to have Stride on board so my son can tackle his goals for college, driving, and part-time employment.”

ADPKD, Spina Bifida, Chronic Pain, Anxiety

“I am paralyzed from the chest down. This has me permanently in a wheelchair. In addition to my daily routine I was going to school full time and looking for an internship. Stride helped me with in-depth resume rewriting and interviewing practice.  They helped me communicate my needs and limitations to both my professors and employers in a strengths-based manner. I not only was able to get a paid internship but also leverage that internship into full time work two months before graduation…(expand)

Thanks to Stride and their willingness to understand my disability and my limitations I was able to branch out and begin to excel in my career. They took time to get to know me and how I operated and then gave me excellent direction on how to manage my personal life and career as they fit with my goals. When it came time to start my full time job I was ready.”

Spinal Cord Injury

My friend is visually impaired.  She lost her mother and was left alone to navigate the world and quickly became dependent on me. I desperately wanted to be there for her but I became overwhelmed and stressed at what seemed to consume my life.  Stride was my saving grace.

Stride helped us evaluate and onboard a number of Federal, State, and community resources.  These covered many of my friend’s needs such as financial, legal, medical assistance, transportation, and home delivered meals…(expand)

Stride also helped us connect with appropriate referrals for discussion of a special needs trust. They took the time to listen to me with kindness and acceptance and immediately understood mine and my friend’s needs. They helped me to transition back to a friend first and a caregiver second and get connected to support groups. Now my friend is learning to navigate her way through life and I am once again a friend who cares but doesn’t push too much.

This team has a special way with people, helpful information & experience, & hearts of gold.  I highly recommend them to others in need.  Thank you very much for being there for me and my friend.”
